OUR STORY
Tom Eidelman and Ben Weiss grew up on the same street named Daytona in Clayton, Missouri. Growing up, they were active and competitive kids with a love of sports, friends, and family. Their drive brought them independently to running their own companies in the investment industry.
As President and portfolio manager, Tom Eidelman led Eidelman Virant from 2004-2021 to achieve significant firm, client, and asset growth and an industry-leading performance. As manager of 8th & Jackson Partners, a concentrated equity hedge fund, Ben Weiss achieved a strong track record since he founded it in 2014. Ben accomplished this feat by concentrating in high-quality businesses using his specialization in the selection of companies with advantaged businesses and outstanding customer experiences along with industry specific expertise in media, telecom, and consumer companies. In 2017, Tom and Ben discovered their shared love of investing, business philosophy, pursuit of excellence, and commitment to delivering outperformance for clients and partnered to add value to both Eidelman Virant and 8th & Jackson clients.
In 2022, Tom and Ben pursued their vision; to build an investment firm focused on achieving outperformance by adhering to the following principles:
LONG-TERM
CONCENTRATION

QUALITY

And with that,
Daytona Street was born.
